Breathing New Life into High Road, Ilford
New owners, Meadow Partners, is bringing forward revised plans to redevelop 193-207 High Road, Ilford.
The former Harrison Gibson furniture store on the High Road, Ilford, has been empty for over 10 years. In its current dilapidated state it is a blight on the town centre.
In 2019 the London Borough of Redbridge approved plans to redevelop the site by demolishing the derelict building and replacing it with 290 new homes, shops, and offices. Although the planning was amended in 2012 and 2023, the project became no longer economically viable, and the previous owners abandoned the project.
We are looking to kickstart the project, and breathe new life into Ilford’s Town Centre, providing much needed affordable homes for local people.
Before seeking a revised planning permission, we wanted to share our updated vision with the community.
As a result, we are holding this community consultation and would welcome your views.
